Returns & Refund Policy

At AlongsideDrive™, every product is quality checked before dispatch. Change of mind returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided the product is unused, in original packaging, and approved after inspection.

1. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a product that is defective, damaged during delivery, incorrectly supplied, or not reasonably fit for its intended purpose, please contact us as soon as possible.

In line with the Consumer Protection Act, qualifying defective products may be returned within 6 months of delivery.

Once inspected and confirmed, we may offer:

  • A repair, where reasonable;
  • A replacement product; or
  • A refund of the purchase price.

If the product is confirmed to be defective or incorrectly supplied, AlongsideDrive™ will cover reasonable return shipping costs.

2. Change of Mind Returns

For online purchases, customers may request a change of mind return within 14 days of receiving the goods.

To qualify for a change of mind return:

  • The product must be unused;
  • The product must be in its original packaging;
  • All accessories, inserts, parts, and promotional items must be included;
  • The product must not be installed, modified, damaged, scratched, or show signs of wear.

For change of mind returns, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

Refunds will only be processed once the returned product has been received, inspected, and approved.

3. Items That May Not Qualify for Return

Returns may be declined where:

  • The product has been used beyond reasonable inspection;
  • The product has been installed, fitted, modified, or altered;
  • The product is damaged due to misuse, neglect, improper use, or accident;
  • Packaging, accessories, parts, or free promotional items are missing;
  • The product was specially sourced, customised, or made to order.

4. Inspection Before Refund

All returned products are inspected before any refund, replacement, or exchange is approved.

AlongsideDrive™ reserves the right to test returned products and reject returns that do not meet this policy.

5. Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used at checkout.

Refunds may take 5–10 business days to reflect, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Original delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defective product, incorrect product, or an error by AlongsideDrive™.

6. Free Gifts & Bundle Deals

If your order included a free gift, bundle item, or promotional product, it must be returned together with the main product.

If the free gift or bundle item is not returned, its value may be deducted from the refund amount.

7. Return Process

To request a return, please contact us first before sending any product back.

Please include:

  • Your order number;
  • Your full name;
  • A clear description of the issue;
  • Clear photos or videos showing the issue, where applicable.

8. Unauthorised Returns

Returns sent without prior approval may be refused and returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.

9. Abuse Prevention

AlongsideDrive™ reserves the right to refuse a return, exchange, or refund where we reasonably believe the return request is fraudulent, abusive, dishonest, or where the product has been intentionally damaged.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer law.
